Stress and WellnessFor stress/symptom management

Online relaxation recordings:   Look under the tab “Exercises”. You would find various relaxation and meditation exercises that would facilitate stress reduction.

For students who have smart phones, there are various free applications for managing stress / symptoms on daily basis.

Biofeedback. This is the computer system that teaches relaxation  while providing instant biological feedback. One orientation session is needed to learn how to use the system and then they can use this system anytime (no need to schedule an appointment).  Orientation times are Tuesdays 11:00-12:00pm and 5:00-6:00pm, Wednesdays 1:00-2:00pm, Thursdays 1:30-2:30pm.  Students can walk in at any of these times and receive the orientation.

Emotional Fitness workshops.  Learn practical skills for coping with depression, grief, anxiety, anger, trauma and other powerful emotional experiences. Students can attend one or more of these workshops at any time on a drop in basis after an initial triage.  Tuesdays 3:00-4:30pm; Wednesdays 10:30 am – 12:00 pm

Taming the Anxious Mind is a very popular group that teaches mindfulness meditation practice. While these groups are closed for the spring term, interested students can join this group for summer term.

GroupsFor a variety of concerns consider group therapy
