Skill Building for Anxiety

ACT on your Anxiety

Explore Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a mindfulness based approach for treating anxiety. Sessions include introduction and practice of mindful acceptance, myths and exercise to reduce anxiety.

Managing Shyness and Social Anxiety

Based on principles of cognitive behavioral therapy, students will build social confidence and interpersonal skills through discussion, activities, and mutual support.

Taming the Anxious Mind

Learn and practice Mindfulness Meditation, a time-tested method for helping people quiet their minds, feel more relaxed, and nonjudgmentally focus on the present.

A Mindful Way Through Depression

Learn mindfulness practices to help with depression. Break habits of trying to escape pain and interrupt the downward spiral to cultivate genuine happiness.

About Us

The staff of the CWC includes licensed psychologists, licensed mental health counselors, clinical social workers, psychiatrists, psychiatric fellows, psychiatric nurse practitioners, postdoctoral associates, psychology interns, counselor education  interns, and practicum counselors. All of our staff are generalists and see students presenting with a variety of issues.
