Mindful Living and Coping Skills

Emotional Wellness

Increase your self-awareness and self-acceptance by sharing your experiences, giving and receiving feedback and support, and occasionally participating in guided role-playing.

Compassionate Self Care

Develop skills to manage life when demands outweigh resources. Learn stress-management techniques to enhance self-awareness, self compassion, letting go of perfectionism, and developing a more authentic and connected life.

Making Peace with Food

Women with an eating disorder can examine their relationship with food and their bodies. For those who are in or have been in individual therapy.

Invincible Black Women

Black women are empowered in discussing concerns facing them today and in gaining rituals, self care, and connectedness for conquering negative patterns.

During the unique experience of graduate school, receive support to survive and flourish, and have a place to discusses your stresses and joys.

Connect with other graduate students to release feelings about distressing experiences and gain insights and feedback about interpersonal patterns.

Substance Use

Recovery Support

Develop stress reduction and relapse prevention strategies, and gain strength from others in maintaining recovery. People in recovery from all addictions are welcome.

Alcoholics Anonymous

This is an open meeting and anyone can attend. This is not affiliated with the CWC. Feel free to bring your lunch. 
Summer C: Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 12:00-1:00 pm  (Meets at Peabody Hall, Room 401)

Recovery Night!

Meet students in recovery and have fun without substances. Participate in discussions, movies, organized events and games in a relaxed, social environment. Anyone is welcome.

Academic Confidence

Develop effective study skills and stress management tools through discussions about performance anxiety, time management and procrastination.

Sexual Assault Recovery

Sexual Assault Survivors

Women survivors of an assault are welcome to begin or continue their healing journey while empowering them through connection with other survivors.

About Us

The staff of the CWC includes licensed psychologists, licensed mental health counselors, clinical social workers, psychiatrists, psychiatric fellows, psychiatric nurse practitioners, postdoctoral associates, psychology interns, counselor education  interns, and practicum counselors. All of our staff are generalists and see students presenting with a variety of issues.
